ACRECONF 2012

ACRECONF is a two day international conference which is organised by the Delhi Chapter of ISHRAE, in association with ASHRAE India chapter. This conference was started in the year 2001, and it was attended by nearly 200 delegates with 25 technical papers. This conference has been attracting a lot of interest and has been growing rapidly.

The last ACRECONF held in 2010 was attended by over 1800 delegates and had attracted over 98 technical papers. Buoyed by the success, ISHRAE has now decided to conduct ACRECONF India 2012 on a larger and grand scale, with a theme "Reviving Mother Earth through Better Building Design". It will have six parallel technical sessions spread over two days with eminent speakers from India and abroad

Flagging- off the Red Ribbon Express

Buoyed by the success of the first two phases of the Red Ribbon Express, the government on 12th January 2012 launched the third HIV awareness train which will traverse across the country.

The initiative, which was started in 2007 by the Railway Ministry, National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), National AIDS Control Programme (NACO) with support from other Ministries, has reached nearly 14 million people in the earlier phases.

Flagging off the Express on the National Youth Day, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said the train would help people affected by AIDS fight the disease and educate others with knowledge on the subject.

Back in grey and cold Geneva (4°c), I wanted to personally thank you all for the friendship, attention and wonderful service you provided to all our participants, the PMNCH team and to me.
