Media Campaign Against Hepatitis B

23 November 2015

Globally, India ranks second in the Hepatitis B infected population list with approximately 40 million people living with the virus. Bearing in mind the magnitude of the disease, MoHFW has introduced a flagship RI drive across 201 priority districts, housing nearly 50% of all unvaccinated or partially vaccinated children in India, to administer a pentavalent vaccine providing preventive care against five critical diseases. The vaccine, further includes four crucial doses against Hepatitis B.

In this regard, the Media Campaign against Hepatitis B was launched in Mumbai by Hon'ble Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Mr. JP Nadda alongwith UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Mr. Amitabh Bachhan on the 23rd of November, 2015. The event was successfully managed by Indiattitude.
